Joe joined BKC as of counsel in 2018. After a year-long appellate clerkship, he went into private practice extensively litigating cases in state and federal court for the next fifteen years. Joe will continue his general litigation practice at the firm, focusing his practice on litigation in all Louisiana state courts.

Joe graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997.  He graduated from LSU Law School in 2001 in the top five percent of his class.  Joe clerked for the Honorable Harold F. See of the Alabama Supreme Court for a year following law school.  For the next decade and a half, Joe handled cases in Louisiana and Texas involving business torts, oil and gas law, and personal and property damage cases.  Joe has been involved in every phase of litigation including pre-trial discovery, motion practice, trial, and appellate work.   He has been recognized by his peers as among “the Best Lawyers in America” and City Business has named him a Leader in Law and One to Watch.  In addition to his workload, Joe was active in the community.  He has served as President of the Young Leadership Council; President of his neighborhood association and an appointed commissioner to his neighborhood security district;  President of the largest charter management organization in New Orleans; and, a board member of the Bureau of Governmental Research.  Joe lives in New Orleans with his wife, Cassie, and his two daughters.
